Comparing Texts

You may be required to compare presentational devices, language devices, or both. Regardless, you need to use your 'writing a lot about a little' skills and also make sure you have plenty of comparative connectives.

If you're stuck and don't know where to start, remember -positive or negative, different or the same.

This simply means are the texts similar or different? They have to be one or the other. Then consider whether or not they're trying to put across a positive or negative message.

Comparing Presentational Devices:

We can apply the same ideas to writing about language. Remember, positive or negative, different or the same - Comparison is the name of the game!
